Saturday Tasbih

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi-llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

سُبْحَانَ الْإِلَهِ الْحَقِّ

Subḥāna al-Ilāhi al-Ḥaqq

Glory be to the God of truth.

سُبْحَانَ الْقَابِضِ الْبَاسِطِ

Subḥāna al-Qābiḍi al-Bāsiṭ

Glory be to the Withholder and the Giver of abundance.

سُبْحَانَ الضَّارِّ النَّافِعِ

Subḥāna al-Ḍārri al-Nāfiʿ

Glory be to Him who can bring harm and benefit.

سُبْحَانَ الْقَاضِي بِالْحَقِّ

Subḥāna al-Qāḍī bi-l-Ḥaqq

Glory be to the Judge with truth.

سُبْحَانَهُ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ

Subḥānahu wa bi-ḥamdih

Glory be to Him, and praise is His.

سُبْحَانَ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى

Subḥāna al-ʿAliyyi al-Aʿlā

Glory be to the Most High, the Highest.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ عَلَا فِي الْهَوَاءِ

Subḥāna man ʿalā fī al-hawā’

Glory be to Him who is exalted in the heights.

سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى

Subḥānahu wa taʿālā

Glory be to Him, and exalted is He.

سُبْحَانَ الْحَسَنِ الْجَمِيلِ

Subḥāna al-Ḥasani al-Jamīl

Glory be to the Beautiful and the Fair.

سُبْحَانَ الرَّءُوفِ الرَّحِيمِ

Subḥāna al-Ra’ūfi al-Raḥīm

Glory be to the Most Kind, the Most Merciful.

سُبْحَانَ الْخَالِقِ الْبَارِئِ

Subḥāna al-Khāliqi al-Bāri’

Glory be to the Creator, the Maker.

سُبْحَانَ الْغَنِيِّ الْحَمِيدِ

Subḥāna al-Ghaniyyi al-Ḥamīd

Glory be to the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

سُبْحَانَ الرَّفِيعِ الْأَعْلَى

Subḥāna al-Rafīʿi al-Aʿlā

Glory be to the Most High, the Most Exalted.

سُبْحَانَ الْعَظِيمِ الْأَعْظَمِ

Subḥāna al-ʿAẓīmi al-Aʿẓam

Glory be to the Great, the Greatest.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ هَكَذَا وَ لَا يَكُونُ هَكَذَا غَيْرُهُ

Subḥāna man huwa hakadhā wa lā yakūnu hakadhā ghayruhu

Glory be to Him who is thus, and none besides Him can ever be thus.

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسُ لِرَبِّي الْحَيِّ الْحَلِيمِ

Subbūḥun Quddūsun li-rabbī al-Ḥayyi al-Ḥalīm

Perfectly glorified, most holy, is my Lord, the Ever-Living, the Forbearing.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ

Subḥāna Allāhi al-ʿAẓīm wa bi-ḥamdih

Glory be to Allah, the Supreme, and praise is His.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ دَائِمٌ لَا يَسْهُو

Subḥāna man huwa dā’imun lā yashū

Glory be to Him who is ever-present and never forgets.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ لَا يَلْهُو

Subḥāna man huwa qā’imun lā yalhū

Glory be to Him who is vigilant and never distracted.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ غَنِيٌّ لَا يَفْتَقِرُ

Subḥāna man huwa ghaniyyun lā yaftaqir

Glory be to Him who is Self-Sufficient and in no need.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِعَظَمَتِهِ

Subḥāna man tawāḍaʿa kullu shay’in li-ʿaẓamatih

Glory be to Him before whose greatness everything humbles itself.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ ذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِعِزَّتِهِ

Subḥāna man dhalla kullu shay’in li-ʿizzatih

Glory be to Him before whose might everything is humbled.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ (اسْتَسْلَمَ‏) كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِقُدْرَتِهِ

Subḥāna man aslama [istaslima] kullu shay’in li-qudratih

Glory be to Him to whose power everything submits.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ خَضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ لِمُلْكِهِ

Subḥāna man khaḍaʿa kullu shay’in li-mulkih

Glory be to Him to whose kingdom everything is subject.

سُبْحَانَ مَنِ انْقَادَتْ لَهُ الْأُمُورُ بِأَزِمَّتِهَا

Subḥāna mani انqādati lahu al-umūru bi-azimmatihā

Glory be to Him to whom all affairs yield with their reins in His hand.
