Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Sadaat mobile application and the website sadaat.pk (together, the “Service”) collect, use and protect your information. We built Sadaat to serve the community, and we treat your privacy as a trust (amanah).
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — if you create an account: your name, email address and password (stored as a secure hash), or your Google/Apple identity if you sign in with a social provider.
- Content you submit — bookmarks, preferences, reminders and any place suggestions or feedback you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device information — device model, operating system version, app version and language, used for compatibility and support.
- Push notification token — if you allow notifications, a Firebase device token is stored to deliver announcements and reminders.
- Approximate location — only if you grant permission, and only to show Qibla direction, nearby centers and to adjust Hijri dates for your region. Location is used on your device and for the specific request; we do not build location profiles.
How we use information
- To provide and improve the Service and its content.
- To sync your bookmarks and preferences across your devices.
- To send announcements and reminders you have opted into.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Third-party services
The Service relies on a small number of processors to function:
- Google Firebase (push notifications, sign-in)
- Apple Sign-In (optional sign-in)
- Cloud storage and content delivery providers for media (images, audio)
Each processes data only as needed to provide its function.
Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time (see Delete Account), after which your personal data is removed from our production systems and from routine backups as they expire.
Children
The Service is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and the “Last updated” date will change.
