سُورَةُ التَّكَاثُرِ
Surah At-Takaathur
Competition · Meccan · 8 Ayahs
اَلْهٰىكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ ١ۙ
1Rivalry [and vainglory] distracted you
حَتّٰي زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ ٢ؕ
2until you visited [even] the graves.
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣ۙ
3No indeed, soon you will know!
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٤ؕ
4No indeed, soon you will know for yet another time!
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِيْنِ ٥ؕ
5Indeed, were you to know with certain knowledge,
لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيْمَ ٦ۙ
6you would have surely seen hell [in this very life].
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِيْنِ ٧ۙ
7Afterward you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ ٨ࣖ
8Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned concerning the Blessing.
