Surah Al-Qaari'a

اَلْقَارِعَةُ ۝١ۙ

1The Catastrophe!

مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ۝٢ۚ

2What is the Catastrophe?

وَمَا͏ٓ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ۝٣ؕ

3What will show you what is the Catastrophe?

يَوْمَ يَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِ ۝٤ۙ

4[It is] the day when mankind will be like scattered moths

وَتَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوْشِ ۝٥ؕ

5and the mountains like carded wool.

فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ ۝٦ۙ

6As for him, whose deeds weigh heavy in the scales,

فَهُوَ فِيْ عِيْشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ۝٧ؕ

7he will have a pleasing life.

وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ ۝٨ۙ

8But as for him, whose deeds weigh light in the scales,

فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِيَةٌ ۝٩ؕ

9his home will be the Abyss.

وَمَا͏ٓ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا هِيَهْ ۝١٠ؕ

10And what will show you what it is?

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ ۝١١ࣖ

11It is a scorching fire!
