سُورَةُ الزَّلۡزَلَةِ
Surah Az-Zalzala
The Earthquake · Medinan · 8 Ayahs
اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١ۙ
1When the earth is rocked with a terrible quake
وَاَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَا ٢ۙ
2and discharges its burdens,
وَقَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا ٣ۚ
3and man says, ‘What is the matter with her?’
يَوْمَىِٕذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَا ٤ؕ
4On that day she will relate her chronicles
بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰي لَهَا ٥ؕ
5for her Lord will have inspired her.
يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًاۙ لِّيُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْ ٦ؕ
6On that day, mankind will issue forth in various groups to be shown their deeds.
فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗ ٧ؕ
7So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it,
وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ ٨ࣖ
8and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.
